Wednesday, April 2, 2008Alice Waters
In 1971 Alice Waters opened her restaurant Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California. Her goal was to serve high quality food using seasonal ingredients from local farmers. She had no idea she was starting a revolution. The buzz words are everywhere now, sustainable, local, farmers' market, all meaning fresh, locally grown agricultural products. Join us on Wednesday for a look back at our conversation with Alice Waters about food, her vision and what we can teach our children. Because this is a special Spring Membership Drive edition of the State of Affairs, we won't be taking calls this hour. To become a member of WFPL, call 814-6565.Listen to the ShowRelated Links:
