Bill Clinton Stumps For His Wife In Kentucky

From Kentucky Public Radio's Tony McVeighFormer President Bill Clinton campaigned in Kentucky Tuesday on behalf of his wife, U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton of New York.He promised a crowd of 3,000 in Frankfort that his wife won’t forget their faces if she becomes president.Clinton says the trappings of the presidency--Hail to the Chief, bullet-proof limos, police escorts, working and living in the White House...make it easy to lose touch with the American people. "If you’re not careful and you get to be president you can think you’re somebody," he said. "The truth is, all you are is the most important public servant on the face of the earth and it passes in a minute!"In a low-key, hour-long conversation with the crowd, Clinton said, “this country’s in trouble,” and promised that Senator Hillary Clinton has the best plans for bringing about change in the economy, energy, healthcare, education and Iraq.
