Jefferson Circuit Court Judge Mary Shaw has dismissed a lawsuit against Metro Louisville challenging a 2007 vote that made four west Louisville precincts dry. The September vote to switch those four districts from wet to dry has now been challenged twice. Each time the challenge was thrown out.Chris Poynter in the Louisville’s Mayor’s Office says he hopes the issue is finalized."This order obviously is appealable. We hope the folks who are on the other sides of this issue… I mean, they’ve lost twice now. Two strikes and you’re out, I think. So hopefully they’ve gotten the message that this is how the people of those four precincts voted, and this is the law," said Poynter.Poynter says Alcoholic Beverage Control officers will begin enforcing the law at noon tomorrow.
