C D K · Culture Maven on Film: "Everything Everywhere All At Once"

Film Review & Podcast by c d kaplan

Did you happen to see the movie, “Swiss Army Man,” written and directed by the duo known as the Daniels?

It was weird, right?

Right.

Well, those guys are responsible for this lengthy bit of cockamamie, “Everything Everywhere All At Once.”

Michelle Yeoh owns a laundromat. She has issues with her hubby. She has issues with her father. She has issues with her daughter.

And, the film begins as she’s going to the IRS for an audit with an agent, who is ready for the kill. Jamie Lee Curtis appears to be having too much fun in the role.

During that meeting, Yeoh is advised by her hubby that she lives in multiple universes.

Two and a half hours of zaniness then unfolds.
