March 15 marks the 50th anniversary of the release of Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Godfather,” generally and correctly considered one of the best films ever created.
And that includes being thought of as one with “Godfather II,” with which Coppola actually bested himself.
Less regarded from the get go has been “Godfather III,” released in 1990.
On the occasion of the anniversary, I went to Amazon Prime to view the 3d edition. To be reminded, it’s been reedited and renamed, “Coda: The Godfather - The Death of Micheal Corleone.”
Is it as flawed as it has been said to be?
