Benjamin Booker: Secretly Funky

Benjamin Booker made a big musical shift going into his sophomore LP, Witness, adding in a heavy dose of soul and funk into the signature punk sound that graced his debut. He spoke with Kyle Meredith about what went into the process, his admiration for Mavis Staples and Tom Waits, and how the song "Witness" is about much more than it seems.
