UPDATE: Two days after we taped this interview, we received the sad news that Jimmy Hayes of The Persuasions passed away at the age of 74. We still wanted to bring you the interview as it's a testament to the joy, passion, and respect that both acts have for each other, evident in Kevin Hearn's description of how it came to be. While they're working on the next record, possibly due out later this year, Barenaked Ladies took a detour to re-record some of their catalog with legendary a cappela group The Persuasions. Kyle Meredith caught up with BNL's Kevin Hearn to talk about how they came together, songs that took the biggest turns, and what's next.
