Reba: The Paws Report, August 2

Today on The Paws Report at 3:30:

Meet Reba! Three-year-old Reba is an American English Coonhound who came to the Kentucky Humane Society when her owners could no longer care for her. Reba is a very special girl who will need a very special home. You see, Reba has a blood disorder that makes it hard for her to stop bleeding if she has an injury. Our wonderful adoption counselors can fill you in on all the details about the disorder. Despite this, Reba is an affectionate and social girl who loves going on walks with her volunteer friends here at the shelter. Because of her super long legs, Reba has the ability to jump a four-foot fence and will need a home with at least a six-foot fence. Reba gets so excited when meeting new people and would truly love a family to spend the rest of her days beside. Could you be the one this adorable girl has been searching for? If so, please come meet Reba today! Reba is spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Reba can be found at our Main Campus, 241 Steedly Drive. For more on Reba or any of our adoptable pets, please visit kyhumane.org or call 502-366-3355.

KHS is having a Homecoming for Furry Adoptees on Saturday, August 6, 2-4 p.m. at Feeders Supply. During this homecoming event, we are encouraging all who have adopted from one of our Feeders Supply locations to come out with their pet to enjoy refreshments and a photo event/contest. The first 100 attendees will also receive a special coupon booklet with huge savings for Feeders Supply. We are also approaching the Kentucky Humane Society’s biggest fundraiser of the year, Tuxes and Tails! This year’s 23rd annual Tuxes & Tails Benefit Auction & Gala will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016, at the Marriott East in Louisville. Tuxes and Tails kicks off with a silent auction and premium silent auctions, open bar, hors d’ouevres, adoptable pets, and music, followed by dinner and a spirited live auction. All proceeds benefit our lifesaving mission.

Laura is the afternoon host from 3-6 pm weekdays. Email Laura at lshine@lpm.org
