This Tuesday, Carole King (born Carole Klein) turns 74 years young , and we are celebrating by playing tunes from her great musical treasury throughout the day. This American pop/folk icon, singer/songwriter, along with her husband Gerry Goffin, wrote tons of rock/pop gems like The Shirelles' "Will You Love Me Tomorrow?," Little Eva's "Do The Locomotion," The Chiffons' "One Fine Day," The Monkees' "Pleasant Valley Sunday," The Drifters' "Up On The Roof," The Byrds' "Wasn't Born To Follow," Aretha Franklin's "[You Make Me Feel] Like A Natural Woman," and The Animals' "Don't Bring Me Down", and is best known for her 1971 classic solo album, Tapestry, which remains one of the biggest-selling discs of all time at over 22 million copies.
