One of the more anticipated collaborations that we've been looking forward to is that of Ben Sollee and Daniel Martin Moore on a disc produced by Jim James. What originally started as an EP quickly developed into a full fledged album with proceeds going to halt mountaintop removal, a cause close to all three artist's heart. The album, Dear Companion, is out on Feb 16th via Subpop and here is a taste with the lead-off track; It's Ben Sollee & Daniel Martin Moore with Something, Somewhere, Sometime for The Daily Feed.

I'm a fan every time Mike Doughty drops a new disc. His latest, Sad Man Happy Man, stays true to the bounce and pop that I've come to love and expect and he's finally made a proper video to it's first single, "Doubly." Spinner reports that while he was filming it, 8000 miles across the world, he broke up with his girlfriend. I'm sure it's not suppose to, but it kind of puts the whole song in a new light. Almost an F-U sort of thing. enjoy!
