Lush romantic pop, steeped in a past Jim Morrison idolization that eventually became the forefront of a late-era goth / new romanticism movement. Its not hard to guess: Echo & The Bunnymen have a new disc coming out. What makes this different that the past handful is the accessibility and a penchant for a good pop chorus, even anthem like movements. It’s the band actually caring about themselves again – they even say as much in recent interviews – and it shows. After their 2005 disc didn’t quite hit the mark, Ian and the boys spent the next few years refinding their fire and you’ll be able to hear the results on Oct. 12 via the disc The Fountain. Here is the first peak, its Echo & The Bunnymen with I Think I Need It Too on The Daily Feed.
