The great thing about Mike Doughty is that he's ridiculously awesome. The great thing about Daniel Johnston is that he's a ridiculously awesome writer, but seems to be just off enough to scare off the masses. But hey, what if we get Mike Doughty to cover a Daniel Johnston song to set up Doughty's new, upcoming record, Sad Man Happy Man on Oct. 6th?
