I was just hugged and wished a "happy Bonnaroo" by a nice young man, though he seemed rather flushed and wide-eyed. The word ecstasy comes to mind. Any "extra" extacy seems a bit unnecessary here. We're all damn glad to be here... case in point the photo of Nick and me at right.
There is something familar yet unique about the vibe at every Bonnaroo. That's partly dictated by the band line up, of course. But this year seems very happy and laid back; not as tense as last year (in my view) and that's interesting in light of what's going on back on plant earth. Hey, we're all in this together. My camp mates needed a grill, so I loaned them mine. What goes around comes around on planet 'Roo. But you can keep that "extra" ecstacy. We've got enough here already.
