A lone photographer wandering backstage at last night's Waterfront Wednesday show found a litter of stray Deejays frolicking close to the river's edge. Out of eight, there appears to be only one female in the bunch but after close observation she seems to be holding her own quite well. They all seem to know their names when called and are relatively well behaved. Some are a little more boisterous than others but a little obedience or even agility training could go a long way. Each one of them responds well to treats and music. From left to right they are:
1. Michael Young, host of Roots & Boots, mellow and laid back, he enjoys bourbon with his music and would be easy to train. 2. James Bickers, morning host, intelligent and sharp, he's not near as aggressive as he looks although his large stature makes him a natural alpha. However, the other males tend to challenge him rather than back down. 3. Marion Dries, midday and Afterlunch host is bounding with energy and is the only female in this bunch although there are others in the litter not shown here. She seems to crave exercise and funky music so agility training would be right up her alley. She'd make a great Deejay for the right person. 4. In front wearing hat is Woodrow on The Radio, host of Woody's Roadhouse. He's perfect for the Night Owl since he "spins wax for insomniacs". He loves attention and can be easily appeased with vintage records. 5. Behind Woody is Kyle Meredith, host of the Daily & Weekly Feed and fill-in guy when needed. Kyle loves to help and aims to please and is very good natured. He also gets along with others. He would do well in a home with kids or other deejays. 6. Next to Kyle is Duke. No last name, just Duke which rhymes with Puke. He hosts midmornings. Good natured and mischievous he also has an independent streak but is always eager to learn new tricks. He likes consistancy and routine and would do best in a stable enviroment with a good record collection. 7. Matt Anthony, host of Friday Night Soundclash. Matt has a shiny coat and white teeth and a really nice warm tone to his voice which makes him a good deejay. In fact he could easily be a "show deejay". He likes his mix as eclectic as possible so remember that come feeding time. 8. Rolling around on the floor with paws in the air is Nick James, host of Afterdark. He's kinda furry and may require extra grooming but you won't find a more lovable and loyal deejay than Nick.
Don't worry about these stray deejays because even if no one ever adopts them, they'll always have a home at WFPK.
