It would seem that Wilco has lost some creditability. Frist we heard the song title of a new song, Wilco The Song. Then we got the new album title - Wilco The Album. And over the weekend we were treated to a new track - though it ends up being another cover. and once again, they're covering Woodie Guthrie. But if you really think they've lost a step, you haven't been paying attention. The sounds coming from inside this group are some of the best they've produced yet. And their version of Woodie Guthrie's "Jolly Banker" is as good as anything from Mermaid Ave, if not more relevant now than ever.
