Off The Record Begins!

Monday, August 18 marks the begining of a new feature for WFPK called Off The Record.  We'll ask people involved in the Louisville music scene what 5 songs they have foremost on their minds.  It could be their 5 favorite songs currently on their ipod, or maybe their 5 favorite bands of all time or even their 5 favorite songs by one band - whatever!  Off The Record will air Mondays just after 1:00 pm, then again on Wednesdays at 8:00 am and finally on Saturdays at 4:00 pm.

Our first Off The Record features Cory Greenwell who writes a Louisville music oriented blog called 'Backseat Sandbar'.  In comming weeks you'll be hearing from Jeffery Smith who works with Crash Avenue Publicity, John Timmons who owns EarX-Tacy, and Erica Rucker who helped organize this year's Terrastock Festival.

We're getting input from people who are:

Musicians, bloggers, music reviewers, DJs, Louisvillians who book bands & organize shows, Louisvillians that promote bands & solo artists, record store owners or employees, music students - anybody involved in the Louisville music community.

Do you fall into this category and want to be a part of Off The Record?  Send a submission request (name, what you do as part of the Louisville music scene, and contact info) to:

mdries@wfpk.org

Just click on this link to get all of Cory's picks, and while you're at it, listen to Off The Record's podcast!
