I've been on the lookout for a puppy to add to my 2 dog family and mentioned this to a friend whose husband is quickly becoming a match-maker for dogs and new homes. He's like a dog-broker if there is such a thing but for rescues only. I told them I wanted a long-haired female shepherd. That very afternoon they send me a link to this unbelievably cute pup named Mirabelle on PetFinder.com. My friend says "I know this isn't what you're looking for but check out those ears!" Of course it's love at first sight!! She's been at the Lincoln County Animal Shelter and was scheduled for euthanasia this morning when some kind soul put a stop to it with a 50 dollar donation. I emailed them immediately this morning and we worked out the details. So tonight, guess who's coming to dinner and staying with me for the rest of her life? Mirabelle! Special thanks to Nicki Murphy for arranging the transport from the shelter to me and to Dan & Jen for hooking my heart.
I'll keep you posted on what happens from here, how Mirabelle is received by my other dogs and how she likes her new home. Check out those ears!
