The Kentucky Center for Investigative Reporting launched last summer in order to expand on the news services provided by Louisville Public Media and 89.3 WFPL. KyCIR provides a new source for investigative journalism in the public interest that digs deep into issues that impact on you, your community, your Commonwealth.
Today, we invite you to explore our new website. It features the investigative work we have published to-date, including a brand new project out of eastern Kentucky from R.G. Dunlop. This site is now our home and will soon feature more enterprise stories and online tools that we hope will serve as a resource for our community.
In recent months, we are very proud to have built an all-star cast of veteran reporters. And we have more additions to our staff on the way, including a data reporter who will parse statistics and illustrate stories in new and creative ways.
These are exciting times here at the Kentucky Center for Investigative Reporting and it is fitting that our website launches today, during Louisville Public Media's spring membership campaign. Our work, after all, is supported by you, our neighbors and fellow members of the community.
So, please, let us know what you think about our new site and the work we are doing. We would love to hear your thoughts and feedback. Follow us on Twitter, stay abreast of our work and other great investigative journalism through our Facebook page.
And stay tuned. There is much more on the way.
