Thomson Smillie (1942-2014) was a major arts leader in Louisville. He ran Kentucky Opera for 16 seasons, wrote a column for Louisville Magazine, was a lecturer on opera, and for a little over a year brought his wit and charm to Classical 90.5 for a monthly feature.
