Chris Thile cut his teeth playing bluegrass in Carlsbad, California, where he helped form Nickel Creek. The folk trio would go on to win a Grammy in 2002. In 2006, Thile started the band Punch Brothers and his career hasn't stopped moving. Our Featured Album this week is Chris Thile playing Bach, three sonatas and partitas for solo violin. You can hear him play at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts on October 19th.
